Enrollment
The enrolment can take place, under certain conditions, at a later time. In this case, you must provide a current evidence from the Graduate Academy.
German citizens enroll at the Students' Office while international doctoral students must refer to the Graduate Academy.
Doctoral students with a university employees' contract of at least 50% can exempt themselves from enrolment. You can get consultation about advantages and disadvantages of the enrolment about at the Graduate Academy.
Extensions of the time period for doctoral studies
The admission as doctoral candidate is initially for three years. Extensions of one year each time are possible upon the request with this application that must be submitted at the Dean's Offices.
Second Supervisor
It can be advantageous, under certain conditions, to look for a second supervisor in consultation with the supervisor during doctoral studies. As a rule, the second supervisor will be also responsible for a second evaluation. The doctoral committee decides upon the person who will make the inspection of the dissertation.
